Limited Review (ISRE 2400/2410)
When is it suitable?
When a lower level of assurance than a full audit is required (semi-annual/quarterly reports, donor reporting).
Scope

Inquiries + ratio and trend analysis + limited tests where necessary.

Agreed-Upon Procedures (AUP – ISRS 4400)
Nature of Engagement
A defined-scope assignment with no assurance opinion—we report only factual findings.
Common Examples
• Verification of grant utilization based on donor guidelines
• Reconciliation of receivables/payables and bank balances with external confirmations
• Inventory count and verification of asset existence/condition
• Testing compliance with contractual terms (spending caps, funding ratios, KPIs)
• VAT and withholding tax reviews on a limited-scope basis

Scope
